The City of Ventura is seeking creative thinking residents interested in representing their community in tackling the city’s vital and complex issues by serving on various Council Advisory Groups (CAGs). Currently Ventura has a “think tank” of 75 citizens serving two to four year terms as volunteer consultants on our city’s commissions, committees, boards and other public agencies making policy recommendations and providing the City Council with advice and ideas on various aspects of City business.
Applicants must be City of Ventura residents who care deeply about their community and want to make a difference by contributing their grassroots and professional knowledge and experience to make Ventura a great community to work, raise a family and enjoy life. Ideal candidates should enjoy learning on the job and love the entire debate-to-decision-making process. Contact the Ventura City Clerk’s Office to apply: 805.658.4787 or www.cityofventura.net.
