Ventura County Community Theatre & The Performance Theatre for Young Artists: Bringing Performing Arts Opportunities to the Artists and Audiences of Ventura County

A California Nonprofit Organization, The Performance Theatre for Young Artists, (PTYA) provides education, training and experience to the young artists of Ventura County by offering workshops, year ‘round community theater and other performance activities. Through these programs, children learn and develop acting, singing, dance, literacy, technical theater, and performance skills, as well as build self-esteem, self confidence and experience in teamwork, decision-making, communication, and other important life skills.

Ventura County Community Theatre (VCCT) is a division of PTYA and presents theatrical productions which include adults as well as children working together on an artistic project or production. We find that both groups learn a great deal from each other and discover new perspectives, ideas and ways of communication.

Some of our past productions have included Pirates of Penzance, Les Miserables, The King & I, Beauty and the Beast and Singin' in the Rain.

Our studio and offices are centrally located in Ventura, CA. where performers come from all over Ventura County to participate in various PTYA and VCCT activities. Our studio consists of rehearsal rooms, practice stage, music room, scene and set shops, costume shop as well as our business offices. Our address is: 2186 Eastman Ave. #110 ,Ventura, CA 93003. (805)642-4570. Our website is www.ptya.org and you can email us at ptya@sbcglobal.net
