The art teachers at three Ventura High Schools
are selecting examples of their students’ art work and displaying
the images in this special section. The names of the students are
posted with their work. Information also is presented in this
section about the schools, the teachers, and scheduled events of
interest.
Our youth benefit from the
Arts
All respected research shows that young people benefit in many
ways from exposure to the arts. It improves their grades in other
subjects; helps our children learn the skills needed to live an
enriched and satisfying life; in some cases, even changing the
direction of those young lives that may be embarking on the wrong
path.

Ventura’s Cultural
Future Is In Your Hands!
The proposed Cultural Arts Center planned in the Downtown Cultural District will provide classrooms and studios to allow our arts organizations to expand their youth arts education outreach programs, and to conduct them in one central, safe, convenient location. Also, expanded opportunities for youth performances will be provided by this new venue.
